Meeting up with the Seals family for a session is always so exciting for me because:

  1. They’re all gorgeous
  2. Tre is just about the sweetest, happiest & most adorable baby I’ve ever laid eyes on
  3. Shaquan has impeccable style & they are always dressed & coordinated PERFECTLY

Makes my job so much easier!

We got together in May to celebrate this little guy’s 1st birthday & he was all smiles, giggles & drool…I was LOVING it!  I can’t wait to see them all again next time.

I know I’ve said this a few times before, but I love 2nd shooting with other photographers.  It gives me such a unique opportunity to photograph a wedding my favorite way…as a fly on the wall.  I love capturing the day as it unfolds, without orchestrating the moments & that is exactly what I get to do while the primary photographer is giving direction & setting the scene, I get to snap away and catch those genuine smiles, laughs & sometimes tears {happy tears, of course!}  It’s my absolute favorite.

I’ve had the opportunity to work with some incredible photographers this summer & Elle Danielle Photography was the 1st of the year.  We shot Brittany & Timi’s gorgeous Montgomery wedding on April 6th & I’m thrilled to finally be able to share my view from the day!

This summer has been packed with fun family sessions & the Britton family was one of the 1st.

When I was a kid, I spent every day, all day, every summer at the pool…The Montevallo Swim Club…I LIVED there.  No exaggeration.  I was the one waiting at the gate for the lifeguards to open in the morning & the one they had to force to leave at closing time.  If I hadn’t been so dang cute, they probably would’ve hated me 😉

Wade was one of the lifeguards that I {probably} tormented throughout the summer, so I’m sure he was ready for payback when he requested a session for his 2 year old and 6 month old sons; however, the joke was on him because I absolutely LOVED these 2 little cuties & had so much fun with them.  It was so great to see an old friend and meet his gorgeous family, so thank you, Wade for guarding my life as a child and for supporting my work today.  It was truly my pleasure!

I’ve let myself fall way WAAAAYYY behind on blogging, and I’m ashamed.  The past 2 1/2 weeks have been spent freaking out over some serious scariness {aka, audit…yikes!! Thankfully, I’ve been doing everything correctly and paying my taxes like a good girl, so it all turned out ok in the end…WHEW! Talk about stressful!}.  I let it take away my focus & really get me down, so I’m trying really hard to refocus and do better, but it’s been a struggle.  Hopefully, I’ll be able to one day blog 5 days a week with ease…that’s my goal, but for now I just ask for your patience & continued support as I find my groove….again.

I’ve got some great sessions and a few gorgeous weddings ready to post, so I hope you will come and check back every day this week to see the goodness.

Happy Monday, y’all!

It’s the same story almost every single time I get a call from a couple wanting to book their engagement session.  One of the 1st things they tell me is “Look, we are NOT models,” and every time I reassure them that none of my clients are models & as long as they have fun & feel relaxed during our session then I will deliver beautiful photos for them.  All they need to do is show up & have a good time!  However, when I met Emily & Hunter I was like “wait a minute, are you SURE you’re not models??”  They are absolutely gorgeous {can’t you just imagine how insanely beautiful their children are going to be?} & were complete naturals in front of my camera.

We had so much fun during our session.  It didn’t take them long to relax into each other and start playing around, being themselves, which always makes for the BEST images.
