I heart flowers.
I’ve mentioned before that flowers are one of my favorite aspects of a wedding & lately brides have been stepping it UP, y’all. I’m continually (continuously?? whatev.) blown away by the gorgeous bouquets and floral arrangements at each wedding I attend. LOVE LOVE LOVE

Today he would’ve been 26. Who knows what his life would be like. Who knows how different things would be today if he was still here. Happier? Sadder? Easier or Harder?
Who knows.
I do know that a parent should never have to know the pain of losing a child…but the pain of losing 2 children? Unthinkable. It doesn’t even make any sense. So, my point? Just say NO to drugs. Please. I’m begging you. It never ends well.
Happy Birthday, Cole. We miss your sweet smile every day.

Yesterday I made the mistake of sending a picture of my beautiful, personal, private rainforest to my friend Lori (you know, to make her all jealous and stuff…the way true friends do). I was really proud of it because I’ve worked hard all summer for that lush, green goodness.
Well, my plan to make her jealous must have worked a little too well because, do you know what she did? She sent her sweet parents over to my house this morning to RUIN my RAINFOREST!!
I couldn’t believe it. All of my hard work, down the toilet. Watch your back {yard} Lori, revenge is sweet. You may wake up one day to some mysterious new flowers planted or something.
Alex & Mat met at the University of Montevallo. He played baseball and she played soccer, so when Alex began to plan their engagement session, it was a must to include the campus in their photos.
Montevallo is my hometown, my alma mater & my favorite place to shoot. Every time I come back, I’m filled with pride and awe at just how beautiful the campus is, so I was thrilled when Alex contacted me to set up her engagement session. We had such a great morning wandering around campus & just having fun.

This summer I’ve had the honor of shooting with the amazingly talented Leslie Hollingsworth & she has taken me along to some of the most gorgeous weddings ever. I seriously ADORE my job. I can’t even believe this is what I get to do everyday and I’m so grateful to work with so many talented friends.
EA & John were married on June 8, 2013 at Our Lady of Sorrows Catholic Church in Homewood, Alabama with a stunning reception at The Club in Birmingham. The entire day was truly magical (minus the moment I was reprimanded by the church man for posing for a test shot on the alter…in CHURCH!! How DARE I!! Thankfully, God forgave me). I’m so thankful to have been a part of this day.
