The last time I visited my sister in Jacksonville, FL, I was able to meet up with her (and now my) favorite family friends for a fun photo session.  I love to travel, so when work carries me to new places I’m thrilled, but when I’m traveling for pleasure & work comes to me, it’s even more amazing…especially when “work” comes in the form of the most precious little girls I’ve ever seen in my life!

The Peterson’s are an incredible family and have been such a blessing to my sister.  It was a joy to hang out with them for the afternoon & I hope to do it again soon!

Seriously, are they not the cutest things you’ve ever seen?!

One of my first {and favorite} weddings of the year was shot with my friend Catherine of Catherine Mayo Photography.  I always LOVE working with her and she always has the most gorgeous clients.

Lindsey and Greg were married at Robert Hill Antiques in Birmingham, AL.  Their intimate, Jewish ceremony was one I’ll never forget.  It was filled with so much love and emotion…I was wiping away tears from behind my camera.

We’ve been trying to get together for photos for over a year, but were never able to make it happen until now.  Needless to say, I was thrilled when we finally set a date & made a plan.

Courtney is one of my favorite, oldeset & dearest friends of all time & I’ve missed her sweet face for way too long.  Every time I see or talk to her, it’s like no time has passed & we’re back in high school chattering away while we “ride around” after school before cheerleading practice {that’s right…I was a cheerleader…HEAD cheerleader, actually….I’ll sign autographs later}  or on our way to baseball games together.  I’m pretty sure we had the best conversations in my car!

Courtney’s husband is a preacher and missionary, so they move around a lot & it’s been years since I’ve seen her, so I LOVED finally having the opportunity to see her and all 5 of her adorable children.  We had so much fun catching up and chasing her wild bunch around the campus of the University of Montevallo.

I hope we don’t wait so long before hanging out again.  Love her so!!

After a double wedding weekend that started at The Summit at Big Spring in Hunstville, AL on Friday and ended at Stone Bridge Farms in Cullman, AL on Sunday, I expected to have to drag myself out of bed this morning, start an IV drip of caffeine & safety pin my eyelids open; however, I was wide awake at 7:30 with a forever long To Do list running through my head at warp speed.  So, today I’m plowing through and feeling grateful to be so busy.  What are you up to on this gorgeous Fall Monday??

This morning as I was filling out my schedule & To-Do list for the week, I looked at my calendar and realized that Sunday is the official 1st day of Fall.  I love Fall & am so excited about all of the fabulous things I have lined up in the upcoming season, but I’m still a little bit sad to see Summer go.  I’ve already lost all traces of my tan & I’m itching for one last beach trip before it’s too cold.  Because I’m feeling a bit nostalgic, I started looking back at all of the incredible families I photographed this summer & realized that I haven’t shared a lot of them with you!

Most of you know that the beach is my home away from home & I was thrilled to have several sessions down there this year, so here is a look at a few of my favorite beach familes.
