Traveling is one of my very favorite things to do.  I love seeing and exploring new places.  Like, LOVE. IT.  I love the whole experience…driving, flying…ok, maybe not the packing, unpacking & airport security, but everything else is awesome.  What’s even more awesome is when I get to travel for work.  Most people probably don’t love traveling for work, but when your job is as incredible as mine, traveling is a dream come true.

This weekend I was able to shoot a GORGEOUS wedding with my fabulous friend Leslie Hollingsworth Photography  in West Palm Beach, FL.  Seriously, does it get much better??  There were coconuts lying around on the beach.  COCONUTS!!

Heaven on earth.

Have I mentioned how much I ADORE my job?!

This wedding season has been amazing.  I have learned so much about the in’s and out’s of a wedding day, that I never knew before, but there is one skill in particular that I feel is the absolute most important thing a wedding photographer should know.  It never fails that at some point on a wedding day,  I will be asked to perform this task and the first few times I was asked, I just stood there panicked because I had NO CLUE how to do it.  Thankfully, now I know, and I can do it with ease.  What is this most important skill, you ask?

Pinning a boutonniere.  Yep.  I can pin a boutonniere like a freaking ROCK STAR now.  (And yes, I had to google how to spell boutonniere…don’t judge…one skill at a time, people.)

Last week I took a couple of days off to hang out with my family  at Grayton Beach.  It was perfect timing and exactly what I needed to gear up for the craziness that is this week.  Seriously, it’s about to get NUTS around here…non-stop shooting until DECEMBER!  If you have been waiting to schedule your Fall/Holiday session, you’re running out of time…October and November are almost completely booked…Yippee!!!!!!

If you don’t see or hear from me for a while it’s because I’m drowning (gratefully, so) in a sea of editing and blogging.

Happy Monday, y’all!

Today has been such an exciting day! I am honored to have one of my very favorite engagement sessions featured on the wedding & travel inspiration blog Le Magnifique!!

Bri & Ron are one of those couples that you instantly fall in love with, so I am beyond thrilled that their session is out there for the world to see. They are so genuine, happy, kind and laid-back that I just wanted our session to last all day. During our pre-session consultation, we bonded over our love for lush green landscapes, puppies and the Alabama Crimson Tide…I immediately felt like we were all lifelong friends.
The day of their engagement session on the campus of the University of Montevallo was absolutely perfect. Bri brought along THE most adorable DIY props to enhance their session and she did an impeccable job selecting their outfits. I was swooning over all of it, but when Ron brought out his guitar, I was a goner!
They are so obviously, completely, 100% in love that you just look at them and know it will last forever. All I had to do was step back and click the shutter and they did the rest. This will forever be my all time favorite engagement session & I cannot wait for their wedding in Atlanta next spring!

Make sure you head over to Le Magnifique and leave them some love in the comments there!   http://www.lemagnifiqueblog.com/2013/10/field-of-flowers-engagement-session.html

Yesterday, I had the honor of photographing Alicia & Alex’s beautiful wedding.  They are the absolute sweetest couple and I promised them 5 sneak peeks before they leave for their honeymoon, so here they are!  I hope you enjoy…there are more to come very soon.  Have a blast in the Bahamas 🙂
