The first time I photographed Lilah, she was barely walking & just getting ready to turn 1 year old.  Now she’s like a mini teenager, running around like crazy in her sassy red boots & knocking my socks off with her cuteness!

I always love when the DuBose family schedules a session because…well…look at them! They’re awesome and so much fun!! Fall is everyone’s favorite time for photographs…can you blame them? The colors are gorgeous & the air is crisp.  It’s a perfect combination for an incredible engagement session!  The University of Montevallo is one of my favorite spots any time of year, but during the fall it’s magical.

Amanda & Matt were so much fun to work with.  They arrived feeling slightly uncertain about their photo-taking abilities (just like every single other person in the world) but within seconds they were laughing with each other (or maybe at me) & having a great time.  Couples who can laugh together so easily make my world a little brighter & these two were no exception.  They were up for anything I asked them to do and I’m pretty sure if it had been even a FEW degrees warmer I could’ve talked them into jumping into the lake 😉  Ok, maybe not, but…..maybe.

I don’t often photograph newborns.  In fact, I try to avoid it at all costs…which, if you know me, you know that’s weird because I L. O. V. E.  babies all the time…but photographing them is a different story.  However, when I do take on newborn sessions for my amazing current clients and friends, I love taking a lifestyle approach.  There isn’t much sweeter than a family welcoming their new addition into their home and it’s pretty cool when they ask me to photograph that.

I have had the honor of photographing the Bosarge family 3 times in the past year and I adore watching this sweet family grow.  Alexander was THE SWEETEST angel baby I’ve ever met.  He was so relaxed during our entire session.  Even though he was wide awake for 99% of the time, he never even made a peep!  He just chilled out the whole time and let us do whatever we wanted.

Alicia was beaming from the moment I arrived.  So excited to be marrying her best friend…it was written all over her beautiful face and I was honored to have been there to capture every moment.

Alex was relaxed and calm…no sign of nerves as he hung out with his boys watching football on an iPad before the ceremony.

Their easy-going nature made the day perfect.  Fun, relaxed, calm and romantic.  All the ingredients of an amazing wedding.  And of course a gorgeous bride & a handsome groom.

Congratulations Alicia & Alex!  I can’t thank you enough for bringing me along to tell your story.  I wish you all of the love and happiness in the world!

Bridal portraits are a favorite part of the wedding day for me.  The bride is glowing in anticipation of marrying her best friend, she’s stunning…and deliriously happy.

Michel was no exception.  I was so honored to have been a part of Michel & Kevin’s wedding in Huntsville, AL.  And seriously, check out that bouquet.  Her bridesmaids created that masterpiece.  GORGE!
