When my sweet friend Trish called me in March and wanted to talk to me about photographing her wedding in Jacksonville, FL that was to take place a mere 2 months away, I was thrilled! There’s nothing more romantic than a couple that just can’t wait to be married, so why wait?! Trish and Dhinu wanted a family-only, intimate affair to celebrate their love and I was completely honored to have been a part of their amazing day.
Of all the weddings I’ve photographed in the past few years, this one stands out the most and tops my list of favorites. The day was perfectly intimate and more special than anything I’ve ever seen. This was truly a family affair and the love surrounding Trish & Dhinu was visible in every aspect. After a beautiful Catholic ceremony, officiated by Trish’s uncle and brother, the family gathered for a beautiful (and delicious) lunch at Season’s 52 restaurant. Once the lunch reception was over, Trish, Dhinu and I still had hours of daylight, so we took a little trip to Memorial Park, located on the St. John’s River, for a portrait session. Unlimited, uninterrupted time with the bride and groom for portraits on their wedding day in a gorgeous park with huge oak trees dripping with spanish moss next to the water? Pinch me, I’m dreaming! Swoon.
Trish & Dhinu, thank you thank you thank you for allowing me to be a part of your incredible day.
