Katlyn Drain - He proposed to be at my house when it was just me and him alone watching our favorite tv show. He knew I didn’t want it to big a big “to do” that I would just want it to be a simple proposal while we were doing something that we always do which was exactly right, I wouldn’t have wanted it any other way. Now we are currently planning our wedding set for September 27th, 2014 at a rustic barn in Cullman Alabama

Kristie Hutchison - My honey proposed to me on New Years Eve at midnight! We went around as a family and told our new years resolution. My resolution was to start blogging or to journal so I could remember the days of our 20s when we are 80. Justin, my fiancé, went next. Justin said, “My resolution is to add a memory to your journal.” I looked at him not having a clue what he was talking about. He said, “I want to marry you.” Justin then got down on one knee and told me sweet nothings as I just cried like a baby. Being a “good ole country boy”, Justin pulled out of his boot!!! my beautiful perfect engagement ring. I was in pure shock and all I could do was hug my prince charming. Of course I said YES!!. We will be tying the “oh so perfect” knot on August 9, 2014!

Phyllis Barber Smith - Good Luck Kristie Hutchison
Jenn Holden - Well… My one true love took me to Botanical Gardens on Saturday, December 14, 2014. It has always been our favorite spot to go. I had told him 3 years ago that my favorite childhood game was hide-and-go-seek as we were talking about our childhoods when we first met. So we had planned that day to be silly and go play this game. Meanwhile i was TOTALLY oblivious to what he had planned. He asked me to sit down on the bench that faces out to this beautiful pond, I had to cover my face with my hands, close my eyes, and count to 50. I counted, and said, “Ready or not here i come!” As I uncover my face he is kneeling down in front of me with the mist gorgeous ring!! And i somehow managed to say “yes!” amongst my screaming and utter shock. We are getting married August 23, 2014. 🙂 185 days 🙂
Chloe Sloan - My boyfriend, CJ, of a year and a half proposed on NYE. We met in pharmacy school at Samford and will graduate in May 2015. We have our date set for 5/23/15. The whole thing was a complete surprise to me. He and I had talked about marriage, but I’m the baby of my family and we still have over a year before we graduate school, so I thought he would have a hard time convincing my parents of the whole thing. Little did I know, they helped him with the whole night! He had convinced me that he had to work NYE and that he wouldn’t be able to come to my family’s celebration at my grandparents house until later. I was a little disappointed, but I understood. Of course he didn’t really have to work that day! He spent the whole day helping my cousins, aunts, uncles, and friends decorate my grandparents basement for an engagement party! When I arrived at my grandparents house that night, I was ushered into a room decorated with our pictures, candles, pretty lights, flowers, and tv that had a chalkboard sign next to it telling me to “Press Play!” I had no idea what was going on and as my sister kept taking pictures I was still confused. Finally, I pressed play and on the TV was a video that CJ had put together and recorded a song to. The song was called “My Eyes Were Only Made for You” and he wrote it specifically for the proposal. In the background of the video, he had gotten a videographer to compile clips of my closest friends and family telling me to “Say Yes!” in creative ways that reflected their personality. The whole thing was absolutely beautiful! As the video came to a close, CJ walked into the room and got down on one knee and popped the question…and of course, I said yes!!

Samantha Russell - Taylor and I were set up on a blind date by a coworker. I was immediately impressed that he was a triathlete and was training for his second Ironman Triathlon in Lake Tahoe, California! After numerous races and becoming his #1 fan and cheerleader, I decided it was time for me to lace up my own laces and train for my first half marathon. Taylor and I both ran the Mercedes-Benz Half Marathon just a few weeks ago (Feb. 16th 2014) and both finished… he just crossed the finish line a lost faster than me! After I got my medal and caught my breath, we headed over to the billboard to get our pictures made. With both sets of our parents there (which I thought were just there for support) Taylor got down on one knee just as we posed to take a picture. I was COMPLETELY shocked. The video is SO MUCH better than what I can put into words… I will personally message it to you! Taylor gave me his grandmother’s engagement ring… who passed away a few years ago. I feel so honored to wear it and can’t wait to spend the rest of my life loving him!
Candace Harbour - On New Years Day, Jeremy asked if he could take me on a date, on January 11th. During this time, we had to plan all of our dates in advance because we were so busy with school, work, and everything else we had going on. Unfortunately, starting January 6th, the two of us were extremely sick, but Jeremy kept pushing for us to just get out of the house for one night. Throughout the entire week, Jeremy kept getting up early each morning to “go workout”, so I rarely got to see him. Then, to keep the bad news coming, I had to work on the afternoon of our date. So, that day I went to work as usual, still sick, and Jeremy came to pick me up for out date. I was in absolutely no hurry to leave that day, so Jeremy impatiently waited as I took my time. We finally made it to dinner, late of course, and even the server took her time about doing everything. We eventually made it to our reservation at Painted By You, that was actually the only thing we weren’t late for, to paint a few things. So, we’re sitting at the table, I’m painting a mug and he’s painting an egg he’s trying to making into a football. The entire time I could feel myself getting sicker by the minute; but I just couldn’t muscle up the courage to ask Jeremy if he would take me home, so I just sat and painted a purple stripe on a mug. Then out of no where, I hear Jeremy say, “They need smaller brushes. I’m gonna ask them where the smaller brushes are.” As I turn to tell him how rude it would be to ask then that, I see this girl staying next to me with a sign that says, “I love you, will you marry me” and next to her is Jeremy on one knee with my ring!! He planned that proposal with the owner of the company the entire week when he was supposedly “working out”. Now I’m getting married on September 14 to my best friend, and I couldn’t be happier!!
And of course, I follow you on Twitter, Instagram, Facebook, and life in general!!
